Daydreams

With the risk of being accused of having way too many poetry posts,I think I will share another.
This time penned by your’s truly!
I promise,the next post will be a short-story:)

DAYDREAMS

As a child,I would climb to the tree-top,
And rest on it’s limb, way up high.
Alone I would sit, quiet and still,
For hours I would stare at the sky.

Perched in the branches, I’d let troubles go,
Like dry leaves , they’d all fall away.
Replaced by my dreams, I’d create a new world,
Where the sky would be blue everyday.

Even as raindrops slid by my face,
And to my drenched back my shirt clung.
Lost in the forest, nestled in leaves,
High in trees,my daydreams hung.

  1. I’ve got the privilege of reading it first! The beautiful side effect of working at nights is to read some nice stuff like this.

~–Where skys would be blue everyday.–~ what’s on your mind?

    • side-effect,haha:D
as for the last part, well,a blue clear sky symbolizes a life without troubles, one without dark clouds on the horizon,so!
I better stop, else I will start preaching about life!

  2. This is so sweet and lovely, Nabadip! Day-dreaming is a blissful affair! 😀 Castles in the air. I found a subtle solace in your poem. And the ending lines were especially soothing. Keep writing. Good luck! 🙂

Have your say!
